My grammar Bug-a-boos

There are very basic grammar rules that we all need to know for speaking and writing. Where possible I have found Websites that clearly explain how to correct some of the more common usage mistakes found in writing and speaking.

Using Less and Fewer

As stated on the website, less and few have the same meaning, but are used differently. A huge bug-a-boo is when advertisers use Less and Few incorrectly -- they should know better! Click here to learn how to properly use the words: Less and Fewer.

Using GOT correctly

Got is a funny verb and a clear example of why British English and American English sometimes have different usage rules. Click here to learn how to use the word GOT.

Using the Verb "GO" correctly

Go is a very complex verb, and the Preterite (a type of past tense) of the word GO is WENT. More and more people are using WENT incorrectly. Using WENT incorrectly is a one of my biggest bug-a-boos. Click here to learn how to use the verb GO (and WENT) correctly.

15 Grammar Goofs That Make You Look Silly

Brian Clark has put together 15 mistakes that are commonly used in grammar that everyone should know. Click here to see what he has to tell us about these 'goofs'. Then take time to click on the links he's provided to learn more grammar rules.
